What are basic sins for christians?

I have always been a christian, but lately I am starting to understand, and read the bible, or verions or the bible. I want to not sin, or know what they are. I know that it is doing something wrong, but for instance-there is a list or things god hates, and two of them are drunkeness and improper language. Well, if i drink a gl of wine, or a little bit of beer or something(when i am older, I'm only 13 now) is that bad? or is it bad if you drive after or get fairly drunk, so you cant see, or think straight? for improper language, do swaer words and/or slang count? like if i say ain't or speak in fragmented sentences or do not write properly or use words like don't instead of do not, is it bad? And, I want to be a writer and an actress. If saying/writing things like i seen that too, in a book or saying them in a movie, is that wrong? I'm just trying to figure somethings out, thanks in advance, and please dont make fun or be mean. *-*
