Is ethanol good for my vehicle?

Well i'm not an expert on vehicle or fuel... i just know that i buy cheaper gas. So to that i have a 2004 Chevy Venture van n i'm not sure if i should use the ethanol. I see that the ethanol is cheaper than regular gas n i do want to help with the environment n choose the best source. So please someone help n educate me on which is better n if i should use that on my vehicle. thank you. plz dnt send websites to me. thk u
